Major Nguyen Van Hai, pilot of the 927th Air Force Regiment, shared: “In the A80 welcoming formation this time, the air force has many changes compared to before, with an increased number of aircraft and larger formations. This is also the first time the Vietnam Air Force has deployed a flight demonstration plan with a formation of 5 SU-30MK2s, a great challenge requiring absolute coordination between pilots.
"We have carefully studied the flight method, developed a training plan and lesson plan suitable for the actual flight conditions in the Ba Dinh Square area. Some more complex and powerful maneuvers were also added to make the performance most effective," Major Hai continued (Photo: Manh Quan).

According to the flight plan for the A80 ceremony, there will be a total of 30 aircraft of various types, including: Mi helicopters; C295 and C212i transport aircraft; Yak-130 multi-role training aircraft; L-39NG training aircraft and SU-30MK2 fighters.
