Egypt wishes to strengthen and deepen cooperation with Vietnam

During the phone call, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang affirmed the importance of the traditional friendship with Egypt and thanked Egypt for sending an invitation to senior Vietnamese leaders to visit and attend the opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum in July 2025 - an important and meaningful event for the Egyptian people.

The two sides discussed measures to promote bilateral relations in the coming time, prioritizing coordination in preparing and organizing well delegation exchanges at all levels, especially high-level ones.

The two sides agreed to promote exchanges, aiming to soon establish a new, deeper and more substantial cooperation framework, creating favorable conditions for expanding cooperation in all fields.

In terms of economy , the two sides agreed to actively consider opening the market and creating favorable conditions for each country's key export products, aiming to increase turnover and sustainable trade cooperation; encourage businesses of both sides to survey the market and discuss investment cooperation opportunities.

Assistant Minister Ahmed Shaheen affirmed that Egypt considers Vietnam an important partner in the region and wishes to increase coordination to consolidate and further deepen bilateral cooperation.

The Assistant Minister highly agreed with the proposals of Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang, affirming that he will actively discuss with relevant agencies to promote the implementation of commitments made at the phone call, coordinate with the Vietnamese side to speed up negotiations on cooperation documents, thereby perfecting a favorable legal framework for bilateral cooperation.
