Ajax fires coach after bitter ending

ESPN revealed that growing tensions between Farioli and the Ajax board were the main reason for the Italian's departure. Farioli and technical director Alex Kroes disagreed over a number of transfer, tactical and financial issues at the club.

Ajax will now be looking for their sixth coach in the last two years. Before Farioli, Alfred Schreuder, Maurice Steijn, John Heitinga and John van 't Schip were the ones who sat in the hot seat at the Johan Cruyff stadium.
