Spain struggled to overcome the Czech Republic, in the absence of world number one Carlos Alcaraz. In the decisive match, the Granollers/Martinez pair defeated the Czech pair Machac/Mensik after two tense tie-break sets, helping coach David Ferrer's team advance to the semi-finals.
In the remaining two quarter-final matches, the home team Italy easily overcame Austria despite the absence of Sinner and Musetti. In the opening match, Matteo Berrettini defeated Jurij Rodionov 6-3, 7-6. In the second men's singles match, Flavio Cobolli continued to bring joy to the home fans when he defeated Filip Misolic 6-1, 6-3.
The Belgian team created a shock when eliminating France with the impressive performance of Zizou Bergs. The 2025 Davis Cup semi-finals will be the confrontations between Italy - Belgium and Germany - Spain taking place tomorrow morning (November 22).
