The two-day exercise (June 7-8) focused on surface operations, including live-fire tactical exercises, drills, advanced air force exercises and ship-based operations.
Indian Navy ship INS Tarkash, French ship Surcouf and Rafale aircraft, and UAE Navy maritime patrol aircraft participated in the exercise.
An Indian Navy official said: “The exercise includes a series of activities such as surface combat, missile launches against surface targets, helicopter landings on ship decks, air defense…”.
According to the official, the purpose of the exercise is to strengthen trilateral cooperation between the three navies and pave the way for the application of measures to deal with traditional and non-traditional threats in the maritime environment.
