Lam Dong forecasts heavy rain in many places due to the influence of storm No. 3

According to Lam Dong Province's Hydrometeorological Station, due to the influence of storm No. 3 (Wipha), on July 22-23, many localities in the province will have moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms. During the rain, beware of tornadoes, lightning, and landslides.

Due to the impact of storm No. 3, in the past few days, Lam Dong province has had rain in many places, scattered with moderate rain and heavy rain in some places. The total rainfall from 15:00 on July 20 to 15:00 on July 21 in Lam Dong province generally reached from 15 to 30mm and in some places reached over 60mm. (In Ward 2 Bao Loc and Ward 3 Bao Loc reached 60 to 65.0mm).

It is forecasted that from July 22 to July 23, Lam Dong province will have moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon, evening and night. Total rainfall in common areas is from 50 - 110mm, some places over 150mm. Total rainfall in the remaining areas is commonly from 10 to 30mm, some places over 40mm, then gradually decreases and ends this heavy rain period.

Heavy rains can cause flooding in low-lying areas. Be on guard against landslides in areas with steep terrain and weak geology. In addition, thunderstorms accompanied by whirlwinds, lightning, hail and strong winds can cause roofs to be blown off, trees to be broken, and injuries to people and livestock.
