Cyber security and AI application in developing smart Hanoi city

The event aims to celebrate the Capital Liberation Day and the 25th Anniversary of the founding of the Hanoi Information Technology and Telecommunications Association.

The workshop is a forum for scientists , representatives of departments, branches, sectors and districts, towns of Hanoi to present, listen, discuss and evaluate the results achieved in the field of digital transformation in the city. From there, scientific recommendations are made, contributing to the construction of a smart Hanoi in the coming period.

Mr. Dinh Thien Duc - Vice President of Hanoi Information Technology and Telecommunications Association said that the event is the first step in the framework of the Implementation Plan of the Coordination Program No. 2706.24 between Hanoi Department of Information and Communications and Hanoi Information Technology and Telecommunications Association.

"The workshop is a forum for experts, scientists, representatives of departments, branches, sectors and districts, towns of Hanoi to evaluate the achievements, discuss and give scientific recommendations, contributing to the construction of a smart Hanoi in the coming period" - Mr. Duc emphasized.

Accordingly, artificial intelligence (AI) is entering life strongly, replacing many manual, labor-intensive jobs. In the world, the major powers have built their own development strategies for AI, taking AI technology as the core for economic acceleration.

At the national scale, the application of AI technology in state agencies, commonly "virtual assistants" (integrated into many platform devices) and "chatbots" (operating on a specific chat platform) to improve operational efficiency, is increasingly valued.

Previously, the Ministry of Information and Communications ordered businesses to build four virtual assistants to serve Vietnamese people: legislative virtual assistant - detecting conflicts when drafting legal documents; executive - supporting the apparatus of cadres and civil servants; judiciary - reducing work for judges; legal - providing judicial support to people.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Hanoi was one of the leading localities applying AI to support the fight against the pandemic. Recently, some districts in the city have applied AI chatbot to support administrative procedure questions and answers for people and businesses.
