The FBI opened an investigation into an alleged altercation between Brad Pitt (60 years old) and Angelina Jolie (49 years old) and their children on a private jet in 2016 after receiving an anonymous call to the agency.

The investigation ended on November 22, 2016, with no charges filed against Brad Pitt. Jolie filed for divorce from the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor a few days later.

Angelina Jolie filed the lawsuit under the pseudonym "Jane Doe" in April 2022. At the time, a source said the lawsuit was a strategic move by Jolie to dig up any damaging information the FBI had about her ex-husband to use against him in the custody battle over their six children (which has yet to be resolved).

"Angelina may be looking for information to use against Brad, to hurt him. This is a desperate trip to find something that may not exist in the FBI file and make it public," the insider shared.

In a separate lawsuit, Jolie accused Pitt of “choking one of the children and hitting another in the face” while the family was traveling from France to California on a private jet, according to legal documents obtained by Page Six. She also said the actor “grabbed her head and shook it.”

"At times, he poured beer on Jolie; at other times, he poured beer and red wine on the children," the document states.

Brad Pitt has vehemently denied all allegations of physical abuse, calling Angelina Jolie's allegations against him "completely false".
