After arriving in Manila, Philippines to attend Miss Asia Pacific International Vietnam 2024, Anh Vuong quickly made an impression on the representatives through cultural exchange and sharing activities.
In particular, Anh Vuong and the contestants filmed a video “Hello Vietnam.” This is not only a greeting but also contributes to introducing Vietnamese culture to international friends. The video has attracted many views on social networks.
Last night, October 3, the Vietnamese representative participated in the National Costume competition with a design themed “Flowers on the Battlefield” inspired by female general Nguyen Thi Banh - the only female general in the history of the nation to cross-dress. As a result, Vietnam received the Best in National Costume award.
The costume depicts the image of a resilient and indomitable female hero on the battlefield, while symbolizing the strong will of women to overcome social prejudices. Every detail on the costume is meticulously crafted, expressing the majesty and determination of female general Nguyen Thi Banh on her journey to fight for freedom and justice.
Using the main materials of sequins, mirror coating and imitation metal, building a sturdy shape to create a powerful and heroic armor, "Flowers on the battlefield" is a combination of tradition and modernity to create "a flower blooming in the middle of the battlefield."
Anh Vuong couldn't help but be moved and happily shared after receiving the award: "The moment my name was called for the award, I was very proud and grateful to everyone who stood by me. This first victory will be a priceless source of motivation to help me have more strength to fight my best in the final night. Hopefully the audience will continue to watch and support Anh Vuong in the upcoming competition night."
Also in the semi-final rounds, the Best In Swimsuit award went to the representative from Germany and the Best In Evening Gown award went to the representative from Thailand, along with many other secondary awards.
Previously, runner-up Anh Vuong performed the costume “Phan Thiet Beach on my soul” in the semi-final night. The design was inspired by the beauty of the sunset moment on Phu Quy island, showing the enchanting color change between the brilliant sunset and the deep blue sea.
Wearing an evening gown with a message that is a love song dedicated to the beauty of nature, Anh Vuong breathed life into every catwalk step on stage and portrayed all the beauty that the designer put into this design.
Currently, the Miss Asia Pacific International 2024 contest has completed the semi-finals, and the final night is scheduled for October 7./.
