Apple is reportedly planning to launch a new generation of its Vision Pro virtual reality headset in 2025 with enhanced performance.

According to BGR , Apple appears to be focusing on launching an upgraded version of the Vision Pro with more powerful performance than its predecessor, rather than releasing a cheaper version of the virtual reality headset.

Mark Gurman of Bloomberg also revealed that Apple will equip the Vision Pro with the M5 chip, replacing the M2 chip in the current version. This upgrade promises to deliver superior performance, enabling smoother handling of complex tasks and augmented reality (AR) experiences.

The design of the new generation Apple Vision Pro is expected to remain largely unchanged from its predecessor. Apple seems to be focusing on improving performance and software, rather than innovating the external design.

Recently, Apple also released the first beta version of VisionOS 2.2 with an improved Mac Virtual Display feature, allowing users to experience an ultra-wide screen that "surrounds" them.
