Arsenal empty-handed for 5th consecutive year
The defeat to PSG left Arsenal with only one goal left to defend their second place in the Premier League this season. Meanwhile, their biggest ambition to win the Champions League was once again put on hold. Similarly, the FA Cup, English League and Premier League titles were once again left unfinished.

Coach Mikel Arteta's team tried to put pressure from the start to find an equalizer after losing 0-1 in the first leg. But after about 20 minutes of missing many opportunities, the "Gunners" let the home team from Paris, with their confidence, gradually find a solution.
PSG, with sharp counter-attacks or set-pieces, changed the game dramatically. In the 27th minute, Fabian Ruiz took advantage of a defensive error by Arsenal players to open the score 1-0 for PSG.
PSG then took control of the game as their opponents were impatient. With a little luck, they could have won by a large margin against their English opponents when Vitinha missed a penalty in the 69th minute, before Hakimi made it 2-0 in the 72nd minute. Arsenal only got a consolation goal from Saka in the 76th minute.
Everything ended for Arsenal with a final result of 3-1, despite PSG's slight advantage in the final minutes of the match, helping the "Gunners" rise up to find hope.

For PSG, Arsenal are the fourth Premier League opponent they have beaten en route to this year's Champions League final, after Man City, Liverpool and Aston Villa. This is the second time PSG have reached the Champions League final after losing 0-1 to Bayern Munich in 2020.
The Paris team under the leadership of coach Luis Enrique in the 2024 - 2025 season officially lacks top stars, after striker Kylian Mbappe left to go to Real Madrid.
But with the remaining players led by defender Hakimi and goalkeeper Donnarumma, they have become a team that unites with new names such as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Fabian Ruiz, Ousmane Dembele or Nuno Mendes...
In the 2024-2025 Champions League final, PSG will face Inter Milan for the championship at 2:00 a.m. on June 1 (Vietnam time) at the Allianz Arena in Munich (Germany).
