Specifically, 252 A6 and A7 cars manufactured between 2019 and 2022 are included in the recall program under the number 90V2 of Audi AG. These models are recalled to inspect and install additional protective panels around the information control box located in the middle of the rear seat.
Failure to install a protective shield can result in damage to the infotainment control box due to penetration from the rear seat. This can be caused by liquid spilled from the rear seat, causing damage to the infotainment control box which can affect many vehicle functions such as reduced engine performance, transmission, steering system, braking system, etc.
In addition to the two sedan models above, Audi also discovered that some Q7 and Q8 SUVs manufactured from January 1, 2020 to January 29, 2021 are also subject to recall to inspect and replace fuel pumps, with a quantity of 143 vehicles in Vietnam under the recall program number 20DR of Audi AG.
The recall is due to a component of the fuel pump breaking while the vehicle is in motion due to pressure fluctuations in low system pressure conditions. The broken piece can damage the seal in the pressure regulator, causing the engine to suddenly stop, the vehicle to jerk, lose throttle, and become unsafe. The initial sign of this is the emission control system warning light on the dashboard.
The recall programs for A6, A7, Q7, Q8 all take place from now until March 31, 2026. Car owners can directly check whether their car is subject to recall or not on the website www.audi.vn by entering the vehicle's chassis number.
