Three players practice separately, Bui Tien Dung is absent from the Vietnam national team's training session

(NLDO) - On the afternoon of October 5, the Vietnamese team entered its first training session but without central defender Bui Tien Dung, a group of 3 PVF-CAND players practiced separately.

On the afternoon of October 5, the Vietnamese team entered the first training session during the FIFA Days gathering in October 2025, and two matches with Nepal in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.

In this training session, coach Kim Sang-sik's team only had 22 players present. Among them, central defender Bui Tien Dung was absent due to personal reasons. A group of 3 young players from PVF-CAND practiced separately at Go Dau Stadium (HCMC).

All three players will likely have light training when they play with PVF-CAND on October 3, and will join the team one day later.

This training session also marks the return of goalkeeper Dang Van Lam since the end of 2024.

Van Lam returns and the goalkeeper position will be a competition between him and his junior Trung Kien.

This practice session took place in a quite cheerful atmosphere when the whole team had just entered the first day of practice.

The team will have 3 more training sessions before hosting Nepal on October 9. In contrast, their opponent Nepal currently only has one training session scheduled for October 8.

Tomorrow afternoon, the Vietnamese team will enter its second training session. Before the match with Nepal, the Vietnamese team will have a press conference on October 8.
