In the coming term, the trade unions at all levels in Ha Tinh City will continue to focus on fulfilling their function of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers.

On the afternoon of August 8th, the Ha Tinh City Federation of Labor (LĐLĐ) held its 10th Congress, for the term 2023-2028.

Representatives from the Provincial Federation of Labor Unions, leaders of Ha Tinh City, and 157 delegates representing over 5,000 trade union members of Ha Tinh City attended the event.

The Ha Tinh City Trade Union currently has 107 grassroots trade unions with 5,078 members. During the past term, the city's Trade Union focused on innovating the content and methods of its activities, successfully completing and exceeding the targets and tasks set forth in the Resolution of the 9th City Trade Union Congress, term 2017-2023.

The Ha Tinh City Trade Union has effectively fulfilled its role in representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of its members, workers, and employees; and has actively advised the city's Party Committee and government on the implementation of the Party and State's policies and guidelines.

The city's trade union has done a good job of taking care of the lives of its members; it has promoted propaganda and mobilization among union officials and members to support the Social Fund to assist, visit, give gifts, and build union-sponsored homes for members facing difficult circumstances, members affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, natural disasters, and floods.

From 2017 to 2023, the City Federation of Labor Unions, together with grassroots unions, mobilized 4.7 billion VND to organize visits and tặng gifts to 7,500 union members; at the same time, they proposed that the Provincial Federation of Labor Unions allocate 576 million VND from the Social Fund to support the renovation of 23 "Union Shelter Homes"; and tặng gifts to 1,680 children of union members suffering from serious illnesses, disabilities, Agent Orange exposure, and orphans with a total amount of over 1 billion VND.

In addition, every year, the Ha Tinh City Federation of Labor Unions mobilizes resources from social contributions to organize the "Tet Reunion" and "Workers' Month" programs.

The city's trade union actively participates in social activities such as supporting the COVID-19 prevention fund, supporting flood victims, supporting the Fund for the Poor, and the Gratitude Fund; mobilizing union members to participate in voluntary blood donation drives...

It is noteworthy that during the past term, the Ha Tinh City Trade Union has promoted the patriotic emulation movement, focusing on the "Excellent Worker, Creative Worker" emulation movement, linked to the programs of each sector.

In the coming term, the trade unions at all levels in Ha Tinh City will continue to focus on fulfilling their function of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers; improving the effectiveness of propaganda and mobilization work, innovating patriotic emulation movements, and promoting the role of union members and workers.

Innovate the content and organizational forms of emulation movements launched by trade unions and improve the quality of reward work; focus on improving the quality and staff; gather and attract a large number of workers into trade union organizations; effectively implement emulation movements and campaigns, contributing to the successful fulfillment of the political tasks of Ha Tinh City.

In the new term, the Ha Tinh City Trade Union needs to continue innovating and diversifying its methods of operation; regularly understand the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers; focus on training a team of trade union officials with sufficient capacity and qualities to meet the requirements of the new period; promote Party development in trade union organizations, especially in enterprises; actively contribute to building new rural areas and civilized urban areas, and building strong agencies, units, and enterprises to make the city a central urban center of the North Central region.

The City Trade Union Congress elected 15 comrades to the Executive Committee for the 2023-2028 term. At the same time, it elected a delegation of 16 comrades (15 official delegates, 1 alternate delegate) to attend the 19th Ha Tinh Provincial Trade Union Congress.
