This event holds special significance as it coincides with the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026) and the 50th anniversary of the official renaming of Saigon - Gia Dinh to Ho Chi Minh City (July 2, 1976 - July 2, 2026).
This is an opportunity to remember and express gratitude for the contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and a profound political activity aimed at thoroughly understanding the important resolutions before and after the 14th Party Congress, especially the four strategic resolutions (Resolutions No. 57, 59, 66, and 68) of the Politburo.

Comrade Nguyen Viet Dung, Party Secretary and Consul General of Vietnam in Guangzhou, shared some special stories about President Ho Chi Minh. The first story was about the bust of President Ho Chi Minh in Con Dao prison in the 1940s – a prime example of the finest and brightest values in the dark confines of prison.
The second story was shared by Party Secretary and Consul General Nguyen Viet Dung in a special context: on May 29, 2026, General Secretary and President To Lam delivered an important speech at the Shangri-La Dialogue on the message of "strategic trust." Building trust requires a foundation of keeping promises and maintaining credibility, as exemplified by President Ho Chi Minh's promise to buy a silver bracelet for a little girl in Pac Bo. He once said: "The child asked me to buy it because she really wanted it. As adults, we must keep our promises; that is 'credibility.' We need to maintain complete trust with everyone."
Regarding Vietnam-China relations, Secretary and Consul General Nguyen Viet Dung stated that during his lifetime, the beloved President Ho Chi Minh wrote an article in the Nhan Dan newspaper, issue 2024, dated October 1, 1959, titled "Congratulations to China, Thank you to China, Learn from China," on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of China's National Day, under the pseudonym Tran Luc. This article expressed the joy of the Vietnamese people at the great achievements in the socialist construction of the Chinese people. This statement remains relevant in the new context as the two countries are working together to build a Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future, which has strategic significance.

Comrade Nguyen Hong Quan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch, also shared heartfelt insights about the historical significance of Guangzhou in President Ho Chi Minh's revolutionary life. He recounted stories about the period when Nguyen Ai Quoc stayed in Guangzhou from 1924 to 1927.
Continuing the program, Party member Hoang Thi Ngoc Minh of the Overseas Student Party Branch shared profound stories about "The Man Who Sought the Image of the Nation," from his early days of searching for a way to save the country to the moment he read the historic Declaration of Independence in 1945. She began her sharing by listening with all the Party members to President Ho Chi Minh's historic reading of the Declaration of Independence, quoting the immortal verses of poet Che Lan Vien: "The country is incredibly beautiful. But I must leave..."
Comrade Minh recalled President Ho Chi Minh's childhood memories and a pivotal moment: at the age of 13, he first read the three words "Liberty - Equality - Fraternity," which ignited his determination to go abroad to reach French civilization and find a path to national liberation.
Representing the masses who sympathize with the Party, Nguyen Ngoc Diep, a Vietnamese student in Guangzhou, participated in the event with a passionate performance of the song "Ho Chi Minh's Youth Song," expressing the spirit and aspirations of today's young generation to contribute.
