Bac Ninh: Enhancing the position of rural industrial products

With special features such as: The machine is manufactured with high-quality materials, high domestic ratio (72%); lower price compared to similar imported products; low energy consumption; high durability and performance; heat resistance, salt resistance, depth resistance, etc., the Company's products were highly appreciated by the program's Organizing Committee. At the honoring ceremony organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade on the evening of October 3, this product of the Company was honored and granted a certificate as "National Outstanding Rural Industrial Product in 2025".

Bac Ninh currently has 258 typical rural industrial products. Mr. Nguyen Kim Tuyen, Director of the Company, said that the company has 6 products (various types of water pumps and oxygen generators) recognized as typical rural industrial products at the provincial, regional and national levels. After being granted the certificate of typical rural industrial products, the TL100 water pump, oxygen generator for shrimp, fish, etc. have been known and trusted by many domestic consumers; thousands of products have been exported to Korea, Ecuador, Iran.

Mr. Dang Ngoc Bac's family, Lac Ve village, Tan Chi commune, has specialized in producing wooden houses in ancient architectural style for many years. To expand production to other types of household products, suitable for consumer tastes, at the end of 2023, Mr. Bac established Viet Paper Cup Joint Stock Company. The company invested more than 15 billion VND to purchase 16 paper cup production machines for holding drinks, food, etc. (single-use). The raw material for producing paper cups is virgin paper, made entirely from unused or recycled pulp, of natural origin, pure and environmentally friendly. With the encouragement, advice and support of the staff of the Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion of Bac Ninh province (now Bac Ninh Industrial and Trade Development Center No. 2), the Company registered to participate in the program of voting for typical rural industrial products in 2024 organized by the Department of Industry and Trade of Bac Ninh. “With its convenience, environmental friendliness and safety for users, the Company's products were voted as typical rural industrial products of the province in 2024,” said Mr. Bac.

The province currently has 258 outstanding rural industrial products (including 206 outstanding provincial products; 40 regional products; 12 national products). According to the Department of Industry and Trade, after being granted the certificate of outstanding rural industrial products, the production entities have more orders and higher revenue thanks to the prestige of achieving the voting results.

Continue to support and organize polls

In recent years, Bac Giang and Bac Ninh provinces and the Ministry of Industry and Trade have organized many polls for typical rural industrial products. Thereby, they search for and select products with high quality and usage value, with potential for production development, market expansion, and meeting the tastes of domestic and foreign consumers. From there, they have plans to support production development, promote trade, and contribute to promoting rural industrial development.

Along with the work of voting and honoring rural industrial products, the province is interested in supporting the development of products after they are recognized. From the national industrial promotion budget and local industrial promotion budget, the province has prioritized tens of billions of VND in support for the subjects participating in the voting to train workers, improve management capacity, support technology transfer, use advanced machinery and equipment in production, promote trade and other industrial promotion activities.

Up to now, Bac Ninh has more than 34 thousand enterprises. Of which, there are tens of thousands of manufacturing enterprises with diverse products, from agricultural, forestry, aquatic product processing, food, handicrafts to equipment, machinery, tools and mechanical spare parts, with great potential for development.

To continue developing rural industrial products in the province, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, said that the Department has advised the Provincial People's Committee to focus on developing industry in rural areas. In particular, focusing on in-depth development, contributing to creating a breakthrough in improving productivity, quality, and competitiveness of industrial and handicraft products. From there, creating diverse products to serve local and domestic needs and towards export. Proposing the province and the Central Government to increase the level of support so that enterprises and rural industrial establishments have large capital sources to invest in production machinery. Continuing to guide and remove difficulties and obstacles so that enterprises and rural industrial establishments have conditions to expand production scale, invest in technology, improve product quality, and find new markets. Thereby creating jobs, increasing income for workers in rural areas, contributing to socio-economic development in the locality.
