Bac Ninh strives to form 7 golf courses, one of which is located in the riverside area.

In the plan for developing ecological complexes, resort tourism, cultural sports and golf courses in Bac Ninh province in the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, Bac Ninh province determines to develop new tourist areas, entertainment services, resorts and golf courses; strive to form 7 golf courses in Thuan Thanh town, Yen Phong district (already in the planning); in Tien Du district, Que Vo town, Gia Binh district (additional planning).

Specifically, in Table IV attached to Decision No. 1589/QD-TTg dated December 8, 2023 of the Prime Minister, Bac Ninh province proposed 7 golf course projects: Golf course associated with Kinh Duong Vuong temple and mausoleum tourist area (Thuan Thanh town); golf course associated with the historical tourist area of ​​Nhu Nguyet river defense line (Yen Phong district); golf course associated with Phat Tich tourist area (Tien Du district); 2 golf courses associated with Duong river tourist complex (Que Vo town); Golf course associated with Lam Vien Thien Thai tourist area (Gia Binh district), golf course associated with Nguyet Ban beach tourist area (Gia Binh district).

Of the 7 golf course projects mentioned above, in early 2020, Dan Viet had a series of articles reflecting on the "Thuan Thanh International Golf Course" project planned to be built on the Duong River bank in Dinh To commune, Thuan Thanh town, Bac Ninh province. According to the project documents, the total planned land use area is 98 hectares, including the following items: Golf course with an area of ​​70 hectares (71.4%), Club House 1.8 hectares (1.8%), golf academy 1.4 hectares (1.4%), warehouse, wastewater treatment plant 1 hectare (1%); trees, lakes, general landscape 20 hectares (20.4%); roads, traffic 3.8 hectares (3.9%). Total investment capital 797 billion VND.

Up to now, the "Thuan Thanh International Golf Course" project is still "suspended" and has not been implemented. Of the remaining 6 golf course projects, 4 projects are built in association with tourist complexes located next to rivers and river banks such as: Duong River (Que Vo town), Nhu Nguyet River (Yen Phong district), Nguyet Ban beach (Gia Binh district).

In the notes in Appendix IV, it is clearly stated that the name, location, scale and boundary scope will be determined precisely during the detailed planning and investment project preparation process, depending on the needs and ability to balance and mobilize investment capital in each period, while not exceeding the land allocation target approved by the competent authority, ensuring national defense and security factors. In addition to the above plan, according to actual needs, it is possible to adjust and develop additional projects in accordance with the orientation of related plans.
