This Mid-Autumn Festival, I'm without my children.

This is the title of a poem by a reader with the account name Phan Huu Tinh, sent to Tuoi Tre Online in response to the poem: "To you, my children: the little ones of Lang Nu Village" by Dang Van Khoa. This Mid-Autumn Festival, where are you, my children? Why aren't you at school enjoying the feast? Leaving me waiting and hoping, the school is saddened by your absence! Tears well up in my eyes when I hear that you are no longer here. I stand silently, gazing out the door, imagining you respectfully bowing. My heart aches with sorrow for you, my children, my hands tremble as I cherish each memento , calling out the names of my deceased students. Come here, my children, take your things. Why do you remain silent when I call? I promised to make beautiful lanterns , to teach you to create carp , to transform into dragons and fly to the moon. Mid-Autumn Festival is here, do you know? Many little friends are missing from our class. Perhaps they are still playing somewhere, unable to return to celebrate the festival and watch the moon? With a heavy heart, she could only whisper: " May my children find peace in the realm of Buddha. As for the everyday items I've packed, remember to come and get them when you return, my children!"
