(Chinhphu.vn) - The Central Policy and Strategy Committee continues to demonstrate its role as the Party's leading strategic advisory body on socio-economic issues, with many breakthroughs in research, institution building and apparatus organization, aiming at the tasks of the second half of 2025.

Enhancing strategic role, completing many key tasks

At the review conference, comrade Thai Thanh Quy, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the agency presented a report summarizing the work of the first 6 months of the year, emphasizing: With the role of the Party's strategic advisory body on socio-economics, the Committee has focused on implementing tasks according to its functions, promptly advising on major orientations and policies to the Politburo and the Secretariat.

In the first 6 months of the year, the Board completed major projects and reports on schedule and with quality. In particular, the Board submitted a conclusion to the Politburo ; submitted two interim reports on the implementation of two resolutions over 5 years; two reports on monitoring and supervising the implementation of resolutions; and completed more than 20 important thematic reports, an average of more than 3 reports/month.

The Committee has also proactively researched, appraised, and commented on 162 documents and projects in the fields of economics , society, national defense, security, and Party building. Some of the breakthrough contents include: hospital fee exemption policy, growth in 2025, platform industry strategy, hydrogen energy, monitoring of crypto-asset exchanges, gold market situation, real estate prices, US-Vietnam reciprocal tax issues, etc.

A highlight of the report is the comprehensive innovation in thinking, organization, and people. The Central Policy and Strategy Committee has restructured the organization in a streamlined manner, with clear people, clear work, clear responsibilities, and clear results. The system of regulations and action programs serving the management work has been thoroughly completed. Of which, 3 action programs and 1 plan have been issued to implement 4 strategic pillar resolutions.

The KPIs system is built and applied to measure the work performance of individuals and units, improve the quality of consulting, research and policy proposals.

Action plan for the last 6 months of the year

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Tran Luu Quang, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee, acknowledged the outstanding results and enhanced the role of the Committee in advising the Party on major policies and guidelines. In particular, the Committee demonstrated a proactive spirit and high quality of work despite urgent time requirements. Personnel work was promoted, the apparatus was streamlined, the Institute for Policy and Strategy Studies was accepted into the Committee, and the new headquarters was transferred smoothly. The units in the Committee maintained stability to complete their tasks well.

Comrade Tran Luu Quang highly appreciated the initiatives at the conference, including the idea of applying artificial intelligence (AI) to work, enhancing local connections, developing the digital economy, training officials, etc.

Orienting for the last 6 months of the year, comrade Tran Luu Quang requested that the officers and civil servants of the Board need to innovate their approach and working methods, strongly apply information technology and digital transformation, strictly implement KPIs, and improve internal coordination and coordination with external agencies.

The Committee will focus on completing projects to submit to the Politburo; continue to carry out tasks under the direction of the General Secretary; and contribute to the draft Political Report to be submitted to the Party Congresses of localities and Party Committees directly under the Central Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

In addition, the Committee will closely monitor the implementation of two-level local government, propose solutions to difficulties for localities; coordinate with relevant agencies to participate in drafting the 14th Congress Documents; evaluate the implementation results of resolutions, promote scientific research, foreign affairs and improve the organizational apparatus.
