The conference approved the minutes of the handover of the position of Brigade Commander between Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Son, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Naval Region 2 (former Brigade Commander of Brigade 162) and Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Vuong, former Deputy Brigade Commander and Chief of Staff of Brigade 162, now appointed as Brigade Commander of Brigade 162. The handover content covers all aspects of the Brigade's work.

Concluding the conference, Rear Admiral Nguyen Anh Tuan congratulated, acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of Brigade 162 in the past time and the dedication of comrade Pham Van Son in leading and directing the unit. The Commander of the Region hopes that Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Son in his new position will continue to care for, monitor and help the unit; promote his intelligence and capacity to fulfill the assigned duties and tasks well.
Rear Admiral Nguyen Anh Tuan requested Senior Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Vuong, in his position as Brigade Commander, to continue to inherit the achievements of his predecessor and the Party Committee and Brigade commanders, to build solidarity and unity, to lead and direct the unit to successfully carry out military and defense tasks; to build Brigade 162 into a comprehensively strong "model and representative" force; and to have a strong Party Committee in terms of politics , ideology, organization, ethics and cadres, to meet the requirements of the task of firmly protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland in the new period.
