On the morning of February 3, Cao Bang Newspaper organized an incense offering and flower offering ceremony at the Hoang Dinh Giong Memorial Site, Na Toan Hamlet, De Tham Ward (City) to commemorate the 95th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025).
In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, delegates offered incense and took a minute of silence to remember and express deep gratitude for the great contributions of comrade Hoang Dinh Giong to the revolutionary cause of the Party, the Vietnamese people in general and his homeland Cao Bang in particular.
Comrade Hoang Dinh Giong was born on June 1, 1904 in Thom Hoang village, Ha Hoang commune, Hoa An district; later moved to Na Toan village, Xuan Phach commune, Hoa An district (now De Tham ward, City). From a young age, he had a patriotic spirit and fought against French colonialism. Participating in revolutionary activities from 1926 until his death in 1947, he successively held important positions in the Party: Secretary of the Long Chau Overseas Party Cell, Member of the Party Central Committee Standing Committee (term I) in charge of the Bac Ky Regional Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Southern Liberation Army, Minister (Commander) of Zone 6, Minister (Commander) of Zone 9. His life and revolutionary career were closely linked to the glorious feats of arms of the nation and country. In particular, he was the one who directly established the first Communist Party Cell of Cao Bang province.
As Party Cell Secretary, he directed the organization and development of the revolutionary movement in Cao Bang and Lang Son, directly directing the establishment of the first Communist Party Cell in Cao Bang province (April 1, 1930) in Nam Lin, Hoang Tung commune, Hoa An district. He proposed clever strategies, took advantage of allied forces and returned safely to the Fatherland with his fellow political prisoners. Returning to Cao Bang, he directly led the revolutionary movement and was the Head of the Uprising Committee in the August Revolution of 1945 in Cao Bang.
In recognition of his great contributions and achievements, in 1998, he was posthumously awarded the Ho Chi Minh Medal by the Party and State; in 2009, he was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces; in November 2018, he was recognized by the Party Central Committee as an exemplary senior leader of the Party and the Vietnamese revolution.
Promoting the tradition of the revolutionary homeland, the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", "Repaying gratitude", over the years, Cao Bang Newspaper has always strived to build and develop, inheriting the values that previous generations have worked hard to build, worthy of the trust of the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in the province and readers near and far.
In front of the spirit of comrade Hoang Dinh Giong, the collective of cadres, reporters and workers of Cao Bang Newspaper respectfully vow to continue promoting the spirit of solidarity, innovation, creativity, flexibility and doing well the work of streamlining, merging and reorganizing the apparatus, worthy of being the vanguard soldiers on the ideological and cultural front of the Party, making an important contribution to the task of Party building, building a clean and strong political system, developing the economy - society, building the revolutionary homeland of Cao Bang to develop more and more.
