Keeping the passion for spreading knowledge in remote areas
After more than 29 years of teaching, Ms. Le Thi Anh Nguyet - homeroom teacher of class 4B, Hau Thanh Dong Primary School (Hau Thanh commune, Tay Ninh province), still regularly comes to school with a gentle smile and familiar soft eyes.
Born in 1977, from Tan Thanh commune, after graduating from Long An Pedagogical College, she was assigned to work at Hau Thanh Dong Primary School - a school in a remote rural area with many difficulties. And since then, nearly 3 decades, she has remained devoted to this place.
Ms. Le Thi Anh Nguyet proactively innovates teaching methods and applies information technology to create excitement for students.
“When I first came to the school, I only thought that I would teach for a few years and then transfer closer to home, but the more I got attached to the students here, the more I loved them, and I couldn’t bear to leave. The students were honest and studious, and despite their poor living conditions, they were always well-behaved and eager to learn. It was that affection that made me want to contribute more,” Ms. Anh Nguyet confided.
As the Head of Grade 4, she is always a pioneer in innovating teaching methods. She diligently studies, participates in professional training courses, and explores ways to apply information technology to make lessons more lively and closer. The electronic lectures and learning games she designs help students become interested and proactive in accessing knowledge. "Students today are much different from before, if teachers do not innovate, it will be difficult to inspire learning. I always think that lectures must make students happy, must have love in them" - Ms. Anh Nguyet shared.
Not only is she dedicated to teaching, she is also an example of responsibility. Over the past 30 years, she has been recognized many times as an Excellent Teacher at the district and provincial levels, received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister in 2024, and many other certificates of merit from the locality.
The simple joy of Ms. Le Thi Anh Nguyet when seeing her students in remote areas making progress
Over 29 years have passed, many generations of students have grown up and become adults, but she still remembers each face and each look of the children from those days. "Many of them now follow the teaching profession, and many of them are successful in other fields. That is enough to make me feel warm and see that the career I chose was the right one," Ms. Anh Nguyet confided.
For her, teaching is not just a job but a journey of love and responsibility - a journey that, despite its difficulties, she is determined to complete with all her faith and perseverance.
Principal of Hau Thanh Dong Primary School, Ho Thi Thuy Linh, commented: “Ms. Le Thi Anh Nguyet is one of the most outstanding teachers of Hau Thanh Dong Primary School. She is always proactive, creative, and has a high sense of responsibility in her work. Not only is she good at her profession, she is also a shining example of teacher ethics, lives a simple life, and is always devoted to her students. Her contributions are the pride of the school.”
More than three decades of love for the profession
If Ms. Anh Nguyet of Hau Thanh Dong Primary School is an example of creativity, Ms. Vo Thi Thu Nguyet - a teacher at Thanh Phuoc Primary School (Thanh Phuoc Commune), makes her colleagues and students admire her for her 33-year-long love for the profession and her special devotion to young students.
Born in 1972, Ms. Thu Nguyet has been a teacher since her first days out of school. For the past 33 years, she has been standing in front of the classroom, diligently working at the blackboard and white chalk, teaching the first letters to first graders - the age group she calls "the most immature and adorable".
“Most first graders don’t know how to hold a pen yet. The first thing is to teach them how to sit properly, how to hold a pen, open their notebooks, and write each stroke carefully. It’s hard work but also fun, because every little step forward for the students is a great joy for the teacher,” Ms. Thu Nguyet shared.

At school, she is loved by students and trusted by parents because she is always dedicated and thoughtful. She not only teaches letters but also basic life skills: knowing how to greet, knowing how to maintain hygiene, knowing how to prepare school supplies, etc. "Grade 1 is not only a foundation of knowledge but also a foundation of personality. Teaching young children requires a lot of patience and above all, love" - Ms. Thu Nguyet said.
What is special is that her husband is also a teacher working at the same school, sharing the same career of "cultivating people". Every day, the couple goes to school, taking care of the students as if they were their own children. "We choose to live together with this job, because just seeing the students smile, all the fatigue disappears" - Ms. Thu Nguyet shared more.
During 33 years of dedication to her profession, Ms. Thu Nguyet has been recognized many times as an Excellent Teacher, Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level, Emulation Fighter at the provincial level, and received Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee and the Prime Minister. She has always been the core of the emulation movement and has been trusted by her colleagues to be elected as the Group Leader of Block 1 for many consecutive years.
For her, each award is not only a personal recognition but also an encouragement to continue on the chosen path. “Someone asked me if teaching first grade is boring all my life? I just smiled. I love the students so much, how could I be bored. Each year, each class is a small world, making me love this job even more,” Ms. Thu Nguyet confided.

Vice Principal of Thanh Phuoc Primary School Pham Thanh Tuyen said: “Ms. Vo Thi Thu Nguyet is a dedicated, patient and responsible teacher. In grade 1, she is always gentle and meticulous in every lesson, paying close attention to each student, especially those in difficult circumstances. She is a shining example for young colleagues to follow in terms of love for the profession, love for children and constant efforts.”
From Ms. Le Thi Anh Nguyet in Hau Thanh commune to Ms. Vo Thi Thu Nguyet in Thanh Phuoc commune, the common point between them is their love for teaching that remains intact over the years. Without needing flowery praises, they are proof that a true teacher not only imparts knowledge but also ignites in the hearts of students the flame of humanity and dreams./.
