The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just sent a document to key traders and distributors of petroleum products regarding the management of domestic retail prices of petroleum products. Accordingly, petroleum prices will be reduced simultaneously from 3:00 p.m. today (November 27).
Specifically, the ceiling price of E5RON92 gasoline is 19,288 VND/liter, down 519 VND/liter; the new price of RON95-III gasoline is 20,009 VND/liter, down 533 VND/liter compared to the previous adjustment on November 20.
In line with the gasoline price trend, in this adjustment period, diesel price decreased by VND1,026/liter, down to VND18,800/liter; kerosene decreased by VND815/liter, the new price is VND19,473/liter; mazut price decreased by VND251/liter, down to VND13,488/kg.
Since the beginning of the year, the price stabilization fund has remained unchanged with no deductions and no spending on petroleum products. A representative of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) said the balance of the price stabilization fund (BOG) at the enterprise is 3,086 billion VND.
According to the representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in this management period, the plan to manage gasoline prices aims to ensure that domestic gasoline price fluctuations are consistent with world gasoline price fluctuations; continue to maintain the price difference between E5RON92 biofuel and RON95 mineral gasoline at a reasonable level to encourage the use of biofuels according to the Government's policy; ensure the harmony of interests between market participants.
In the most recent adjustment on November 20, gasoline and oil prices decreased simultaneously, specifically E5RON92 gasoline decreased by 37 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline decreased by 34 VND/liter; diesel oil price decreased by 38 VND/liter; mazut oil decreased by 335 VND/kg; and kerosene increased by 353 VND/liter.
According to Decree No. 80/2023/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 95/2021/ND-CP dated November 1, 2021 and Decree No. 83/2014/ND-CP dated September 3, 2014 of the Government on petroleum trading, the time for managing petroleum prices is implemented every Thursday./.
