Ms. Mai Thi Phuong Thuy (born in 1978) - a teacher at Hoang Van Thu High School (Chau Thanh commune, Tay Ninh province), has been dedicated to the teaching profession for 20 years. Coming from a family where both parents were teachers, Ms. Thuy harbored a dream of becoming a teacher since childhood. After graduating from Ho Chi Minh City University of Education with a major in Political Education, she returned to teach at the school where she had studied.

Having pursued her dream career, Ms. Thuy constantly strives to contribute to the field of education. She is always at the forefront of innovative teaching methods and actively participates in the emulation movement of "innovation and creativity in management, teaching, and learning."

She regularly learns from colleagues about effective teaching methods and new knowledge, and continuously improves her professional skills and expertise. In the 2016-2017 school year, Ms. Thuy won third prize in the "Integrated Thematic Teaching" competition for secondary school teachers. In the 2018-2019 school year, she won an honorable mention at the 11th Tay Ninh Provincial Science and Technology Innovation Competition.

From 2012 to 2022, Ms. Thuy had 12 initiatives and scientific research projects that were all applied at Hoang Van Thu High School, achieving high effectiveness. Notable examples include the initiative/research project "Applying Information Technology to Enhance the Effectiveness of Environmental Ethics Education for 10th Grade Students in Civic Education," "Enhancing the Effectiveness of Life Skills and Values ​​Education for 11th Grade Students Through Homeroom Teacher Work," and "Improving the Quality of Learning in 11th Grade Civic Education by Incorporating Games into Lessons," etc.

Ms. Thuy also actively guides students to participate in science and technology research competitions. In 2019, she guided Nguyen Hoan Nhu to participate in the "Traffic Safety for Tomorrow's Smile" competition, organized by the National Traffic Safety Committee in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Training and Honda Vietnam Company, winning second prize in the national round.

In 2021, she guided students to participate in a letter-writing competition with the theme "Write a letter to a close friend about your idea of ​​restoring our Earth." As a result, Nguyen Thi Huynh An won second prize, and Nguyen Gia Linh won a consolation prize at the provincial level.

Over the past 20 years, Ms. Thuy has received the title of "Outstanding Emulation Soldier" at the grassroots level 11 times, the title of "Outstanding Emulation Soldier" at the provincial level 3 times, the Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee 5 times, the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister 2 times, and the title of "Outstanding Teacher". Currently, the Provincial People's Committee is proposing to the Prime Minister to consider submitting to the President of the Republic of Vietnam a request to award Ms. Thuy the Third-Class Labor Medal.

Ms. Thuy shared: “My family, including my parents, sister, and husband, all work in the education sector. My child is also a first-year student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education. For me, that is a source of pride and happiness. And I am even happier to be able to contribute to the education sector, to guide and support generations of students.”

Commenting on Ms. Thuy, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - Principal of Hoang Van Thu High School, said: “Ms. Thuy has strong professional skills, good ethics, and enthusiastically participates in school activities. She is very dedicated to her profession and is loved by her students.”

"For the happiness of childhood and to give life more vitality"

Ms. Phan Thi Thu Thuy, Principal of Phuoc Ninh Primary School (Cau Khoi commune), is also a fragrant flower in the garden of education. In 2023, Ms. Thuy was one of 200 outstanding teachers and administrators nationwide, receiving a commendation from the Ministry of Education and Training. This achievement is the result of her tireless efforts in her profession.

The female principal recalled, "My father always wanted me to become a teacher. When I was little, he would take me to exams on his bicycle, and then pick me up in the afternoon." Ms. Thuy also loves teaching. Throughout her 24 years in the profession, she has always strived and achieved many accomplishments. Ms. Thuy has a provincial-level initiative, "Solutions to improve the quality of solving word problems for 3B students at Phuoc Ninh A Primary School," from the 2021-2022 school year, which has been applied in teaching practice to this day.

Ms. Phan Thi Thu Thuy received a Certificate of Commendation from the Ministry of Education and Training and was honored as an outstanding teacher and administrator nationwide in 2023.

With the above achievements, Ms. Thuy was awarded a certificate of merit by the Prime Minister and the Minister of Education and Training; and was awarded the title of Provincial-level Emulation Soldier by the Provincial People's Committee. "In my management role, I always emphasize responsibility, solidarity, and close relationships among colleagues, and I encourage teachers whenever they face difficulties," Ms. Thuy shared.

Similarly, with over 20 years of experience in the education sector, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tu Tran, Principal of the Tay Ninh Provincial School for the Disabled, has spread a beautiful story about the teaching profession. Driven by her love for students from disadvantaged backgrounds, she has continuously learned and researched to improve her professional skills.

Ms. Tran began her teaching career at the Tay Ninh Provincial School for the Disabled in 2003, after graduating with a bachelor's degree in Special Education. From the 2019-2020 academic year to the present, she has served as the Party Secretary and Principal, responsible for leading and directing all activities of the school.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tu Tran received the title of Outstanding Teacher of 2024.

Driven by a desire to guide individualized education plans for children with disabilities, she participated in assessing the progress of children with disabilities at preschools in Hoa Thanh, Go Dau, and Ben Cau districts (before merger) organized by the DISTIS Project (Strengthening the Capacity of Service and Therapy Networks for Children with Disabilities, funded by the United States Agency for International Development and implemented by VietHealth).

She continuously studied and researched to support the students participating in the "Making Raised Illustrated Books for Visually Impaired Students in 2018" competition organized by the Ho Chi Minh City General Science Library, winning second prize.

In the 2022-2023 school year, she implemented an initiative to improve the quality of care and nurturing for students at the Tay Ninh Provincial School for the Disabled, which was recognized as a provincial-level initiative. Ms. Tran shared: “Because I love the children like family, I strive to teach them to become good people. Thanks to the support of teachers, school staff, as well as parents and family, I have been able to perform my duties well over the years.”

In 2024, in Hanoi, Ms. Tran was honored by the Ministry of Education and Training with the title of Outstanding Teacher of 2024.
