Ms. Mai Thi Phuong Thuy (born in 1978) - Teacher at Hoang Van Thu High School (Chau Thanh Commune, Tay Ninh Province), has been in the teaching profession for 20 years. Coming from a family with both parents being teachers, Ms. Thuy has cherished the dream of becoming a teacher since childhood. After graduating from Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, majoring in Political Education, she returned to teach at the school she attended.

Having the job she has always dreamed of, Ms. Thuy has constantly strived to contribute to the education career. She has always been at the forefront of innovating teaching methods, actively implementing the emulation movement of "innovation and creativity in management, teaching and learning".

She regularly learns good teaching methods and new knowledge from her colleagues and improves her professional skills. In the 2016-2017 school year, Ms. Thuy won the third prize in the "Integrated Theme Teaching" competition for secondary school teachers. In the 2018-2019 school year, she won the Encouragement Prize in the 11th Tay Ninh Province Science and Technology Innovation Competition.

From 2012 to 2022, Ms. Thuy has 12 initiatives and scientific research topics that have been applied at Hoang Van Thu High School, achieving high efficiency. Typical initiatives and scientific research topics include: Applying information technology to improve the effectiveness of environmental ethics education for students in Civic Education 10, Improving the effectiveness of life skills and life values education for 11th grade students through homeroom work, Improving the quality of learning Civic Education 11th grade by applying games in class, etc.

Ms. Thuy also actively guides students to participate in science and technology research competitions. In 2019, she guided Nguyen Hoan Nhu to participate in the "Traffic Safety for Tomorrow's Smiles" Contest, organized by the National Traffic Safety Committee in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Training, Honda Vietnam Company, and won second prize in the national round.

In 2021, she guided students to participate in the Letter Writing Contest with the theme "Write a letter to a close friend to talk about your idea of restoring our Earth". As a result, Nguyen Thi Huynh An won the second prize, and Nguyen Gia Linh won the encouragement prize at the provincial level.

Over the past 20 years, Ms. Thuy has been awarded the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level 11 times, the title of Emulation Fighter at the provincial level 3 times, received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee 5 times, 2 Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister and was awarded the title of Excellent Teacher. Currently, Ms. Thuy has been proposed by the Provincial People's Committee to the Prime Minister to consider submitting to the President for decision to award the Third Class Labor Medal.

Ms. Thuy shared: “My family has father, mother, sister and husband all working in the education sector, my child is also a first-year student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, for me that is pride and happiness. And I am even happier when I can contribute to the education sector, to guide and support generations of students.”

Commenting on Ms. Thuy, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - Principal of Hoang Van Thu High School, said: "Ms. Thuy has solid expertise, good ethics, and enthusiastically participates in school movements. She is very dedicated to her profession and is loved by her students."

"For the happiness of childhood and to give life more vitality"

Ms. Phan Thi Thu Thuy - Principal of Phuoc Ninh Primary School (Cau Khoi Commune), is also a fragrant flower in the garden of education. In 2023, Ms. Thuy was one of 200 outstanding teachers and managers nationwide, receiving a certificate of merit from the Ministry of Education and Training. This result is the result of Ms. Thuy's whole-hearted efforts in her career.

The female principal recalled: “My father always wanted me to become a teacher. When I was young, my father took me to exams by bicycle, and in the afternoon he picked me up.” Ms. Thuy also loves the teaching profession very much. During her 24 years in the profession, she has always strived and achieved many successes. Ms. Thuy has a provincial-level initiative to improve the quality of solving word problems for students in grade 3B at Phuoc Ninh A Primary School, school year 2021-2022, which has been applied in teaching practice to this day.

Ms. Phan Thi Thu Thuy received a Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training and was recognized as an outstanding teacher and manager nationwide in 2023.

With the above achievements, Ms. Thuy was awarded a certificate of merit by the Prime Minister and the Minister of Education and Training; and was awarded the title of Provincial Emulation Fighter by the Provincial People's Committee. "In my management work, I always promote the spirit of responsibility, solidarity, and attachment among colleagues, and encourage teachers whenever they encounter difficulties" - Ms. Thuy shared.

Similarly, with over 20 years of working in the education sector, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tu Tran - Principal of Tay Ninh Province School for the Disabled, has spread a beautiful story about the teaching profession. With her love for students with less fortunate circumstances, she has continuously studied and researched to improve her professional qualifications.

Ms. Tran started her teaching career at Tay Ninh School for the Disabled in 2003, after graduating with a bachelor's degree in Special Education. From the 2019-2020 school year until now, she has been the Party Cell Secretary and Principal, responsible for the overall leadership and direction of all school activities.

With the desire to orient individual education plans for children with disabilities, she participated in the work of assessing the progress of children with disabilities at preschools in Hoa Thanh, Go Dau, and Ben Cau districts (before the merger) organized by the DISTIS Project (Strengthening the Capacity of the Service and Therapy Network for Children with Disabilities, funded by the United States Agency for International Development and implemented by VietHealth).

She continuously studied and researched to support the students participating in the contest "Making 3D illustrated books for visually impaired students in 2018" organized by the Ho Chi Minh City General Science Library, winning second prize.

In the 2022-2023 school year, she implemented the initiative Measures to improve the quality of care and nurturing for students at the Tay Ninh School for the Disabled, which was recognized as a provincial-level initiative. Ms. Tran confided: “Because I love the children like family, I try to teach them to be good people. Thanks to the companionship of teachers, school staff as well as the support of parents and family, it has helped me to perform my duties well over the past many years.”

In 2024, in Hanoi, Ms. Tran was honored by the Ministry of Education and Training and awarded the title of Outstanding Teacher of 2024./.
