At the Da Nang Museum, the new high-tech exhibition spaces have proven that digital transformation is not only a way to keep up with trends but also an opportunity to spread heritage to a wider audience, especially the younger generation. The liveliness of the digital exhibition space has contributed to bringing heritage closer to modern life.
Da Nang Museum has quickly implemented a project to build a heritage map of Da Nang and update 2D, 3D of all heritages and famous relics in the area to serve tourists. This is digital data for the museum to update all changes in the status of relics in the area and have a database to propose solutions for original conservation and restoration. In particular, each artifact will be equipped with an electronic chip.
Currently, the unit is cooperating with Vietnam Artificial Intelligence Joint Stock Company - AIAIVN to experiment with application technologies such as Lumi robot, information search application and pilot implementation of multilingual explanation application including English, Chinese, French, Korean, Japanese, Russian.
According to Director of Da Nang Museum Huynh Dinh Quoc Thien, after connecting and coordinating with Vietnam Artificial Intelligence Joint Stock Company - AIAIVN to implement the Smart Museum Project, the unit will propose that the city continue to invest in converting similar databases into museums in the city such as the Museum of Cham Sculpture, Da Nang Museum of Fine Arts, Museum of Military Zone 5, Hoang Sa Exhibition House.
Not only Da Nang Museum, the system of museums and relics in Da Nang city has begun to focus on applying technology in professional activities, such as digitizing artifacts, automatic multilingual explanations, online exhibitions, and online classes.
