Tuyen Quang Newspaper, Radio and Television offer incense to commemorate heroic martyrs at Vi Xuyen National Martyrs Cemetery

On July 20, commemorating the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), the Tuyen Quang Newspaper, Radio and Television Working Group led by Comrade Mai Duc Thong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Editor-in-Chief, Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association, offered incense at the Vi Xuyen National Martyrs Cemetery and the Temple of Heroes and Martyrs of the Vi Xuyen Front at the height of 468, Nam Nghat village, Thanh Thuy commune.

The delegation included comrades in the Editorial Board of Tuyen Quang Newspaper, Radio and Television; heads and deputy heads of specialized departments, youth union and editors, reporters and technicians of Tuyen Quang Newspaper, Radio and Television.

Comrade Mai Duc Thong, Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Editor-in-Chief, Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association, Head of the Tuyen Quang Newspaper, Radio and Television Working Group, adjusted the wreath before the funeral.

Vi Xuyen National Martyrs Cemetery is the resting place of nearly 1,900 martyrs and the mass graves of martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the fight to protect the northern border of the Fatherland, including the children of Tuyen Quang. At the Vi Xuyen front alone, more than 4,000 officers and soldiers heroically sacrificed their lives and there are still thousands of remains of officers and soldiers scattered in crevices and deep valleys that have not been found and gathered.

The exploits and names of the heroic martyrs have become immortal, engraved in the history of the nation and forever remembered in the minds of every generation of Vietnamese people.   At the height of 468 in Nam Ngặt village, Thanh Thủy commune, more than 40 years ago, generations of cadres and soldiers of the main army units and many local army units fought steadfastly and bravely on Thanh Thủy land. They took to heart the oath “Live clinging to the rocks to fight the enemy, die and become immortal in the rocks”.

In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, the delegation offered incense and flowers to the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh , the spirit of General Vo Nguyen Giap and the heroic martyrs, respectfully bowed and offered incense, expressing infinite gratitude and deep gratitude for the noble sacrifices of the heroic martyrs.

The sacred souls of the heroic martyrs continue to light the way, guide and bless our country Vietnam to steadily enter the new era, "The era of the Vietnamese nation's rise", to develop strongly and steadily on the journey of innovation, integration and sustainable development. Their sacrifices have become the strength to help today's generation continue on the glorious revolutionary path that the Party, Uncle Ho and the People have chosen.

The delegation reported to the heroic martyrs about the country that is changing day by day, the homeland of Tuyen Quang, the former "Capital of the Liberated Zone - Capital of the Resistance", is firmly on the path of development and integration; has been effectively implementing the Central's directives on reorganizing the apparatus and deploying a two-level, streamlined, effective and efficient local government; maintaining national defense and security and strengthening the great national unity bloc.

Tuyen Quang Newspaper, Radio and Television have been merged, their organization and publications have been consolidated; they continue to promote revolutionary traditions, and excellently complete the propaganda tasks assigned by the Party, State and People.
