According to Lieutenant General To An Xo, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security , as of 4:30 PM on June 11th, police forces in Dak Lak province had arrested 16 individuals involved in the incident that occurred in Cu Kuin district early that morning.
Authorities have also rescued two citizens who were taken hostage, while a third citizen freed himself. Authorities are continuing their vigorous pursuit of the remaining suspects.
Previously, according to a report from the Dak Lak Provincial Police, in the early morning of June 11th, in Cu Kuin district, an incident occurred where a group of unidentified individuals used firearms to attack the police stations of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes, resulting in the deaths and injuries of several commune police officers, commune officials, and local residents.
Currently, the Ministry of Public Security has directed the Dak Lak Provincial Police and other professional units to deploy forces to apprehend the aforementioned group of suspects. The Ministry of Public Security requests that residents of Cu Kuin district and surrounding areas remain calm and not panic; comply with the instructions of local authorities and law enforcement agencies. If anyone has information related to this group of suspects, please provide it immediately to the nearest police station.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Security advised that media outlets should verify information before publishing it to ensure accuracy.
