Female director arrested for embezzling billions

On October 31, Binh Dinh Provincial Police issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and temporarily detain Ms. Huynh Thi Sen (58 years old, residing in Quy Nhon City), Director of Kim Trieu Joint Stock Company, for 4 months to investigate the crime of Abuse of trust to appropriate property.

"Ms. Sen borrowed money from many people but avoided paying it back," said the leader of Binh Dinh Province Police.

According to the investigation results, since April 2018, Ms. Sen used business reasons to make commitments on debt repayment time to borrow many times with large amounts of money.

When the agreed deadline came, the woman did not have the money to pay, so she rewrote the loan note, adding both principal and interest. She then used deceitful means to deny responsibility for the remaining debt in order to appropriate it.

Ms. Sen is known as a female tycoon in Binh Dinh province. The Kim Trieu Joint Stock Company's Hotel - Wedding Center project located on "golden" land in the center of Quy Nhon City, of which Ms. Sen is the director, has been under construction for nearly 10 years but is still not completed, causing people to be upset and petition the People's Council of Binh Dinh province.

Binh Dinh Provincial Police requested that the victims who were abused by Ms. Sen to file a report to the police for settlement according to the provisions of the law.
