Today, May 13, Hanoi City Police said that Nam Tu Liem District Police had just arrested Bui Minh Ngoc (39 years old, collaborator of Vietnam Health Magazine) and Nguyen Trung Sang (44 years old, Secretary of the editorial office of Vietnam Health Magazine) for the act of extortion.

According to the investigation agency's documents, on May 6, Nam Tu Liem District Police received a complaint from Ms. VT T, an employee of Sunny Dental Clinic, about a person calling claiming to be a reporter from Vietnam Health Magazine, writing an article that reflected untruthfully about her dental clinic. After that, this person sent a link to the article to Ms. T, threatening her and demanding that she transfer money to remove the article.
At around 9:30 a.m. on May 11, Nam Tu Liem District Police arrested Bui Minh Ngoc while he was receiving 5 million VND from Ms. T. at Xua Coffee Shop (66 Do Duc Duc, Me Tri Ward, Nam Tu Liem District).
Conducting an extended investigation, Nam Tu Liem District Police arrested Nguyen Trung Sang for extortion.
Nam Tu Liem District Police are consolidating records and handling the subjects according to the provisions of law.
