Electing Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep to hold the position of Vice Chairwoman of Can Tho City People's Committee

As part of the 18th Session of the 10th Can Tho City People's Council, term 2021-2026, on the afternoon of November 9, delegates elected an additional Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee.

Can Tho City People's Council delegates voted to elect the position of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee.

Accordingly, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Tran Viet Truong introduced the candidate elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, City Party Committee member, Secretary of Thot Not District Party Committee.

At the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep was elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term, with 50/52 votes in agreement, reaching 96.15%.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep thanked the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and delegates of the City People's Council for their trust, confidence and assignment of the position of Vice Chairwoman of the Can Tho City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term. This is both an honor for her personally and a very heavy responsibility before the Party Committee, government and people of the city.

Can Tho is facing many development opportunities but at the same time is also facing many difficulties and challenges. With the assigned responsibility, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep promised to continuously study, improve knowledge, strive, maintain solidarity with the leadership of the City People's Committee and closely coordinate with the city's agencies, departments and branches to contribute to the city's rapid and sustainable development.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep hopes that the leaders of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and all levels, sectors, localities, and socio- political organizations of the city will continue to support and create favorable conditions for her to complete her assigned tasks.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, member of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Thot Not District Party Committee was elected to hold the position of Vice Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep was born on April 29, 1974, hometown: Tan Phu commune, Thoi Binh district, Ca Mau province, joined the Party in 2001. Professional qualifications: Bachelor of English, University of Law; political level: Senior.

She has held many positions such as: Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Can Tho city, Secretary of the Thot Not District Party Committee.
