Speaking to the public a day before the official voting date, Mr. Roh Tae Ak said this election is important to build harmony and stability in Korean society, towards a country "harmonious and full of hope."

In addition, the NEC Chairman expressed concern that the short campaign period may not give voters enough time to fully evaluate the candidates and election policies.

Therefore, he called on voters to spend more time considering the policies and capabilities of the candidates today, so that they can make an informed choice on election day.

This election took place just 60 days after the Constitutional Court of South Korea on April 4 removed President Yoon Suk Yeol from office for his decision to establish martial law last December./.
