Thai Nguyen: Forest planting achieved over 91% of the plan

In 2025, the whole province plans to plant 7,000 hectares of new forest with the main varieties being acacia, fat, pine... Up to this point, people have planted about 6,400 hectares, reaching over 91% of the yearly plan.

This result shows that the afforestation work has received attention and participation from the professional sector and authorities at all levels in the province, especially in preparing seedlings and necessary conditions for afforestation. In addition, the awareness of the benefits of afforestation and forest economic development of the people, especially in the highland communes, has also increased significantly.

To complete the plan, the Provincial Forest Protection Department has deployed many specific measures, such as: Focusing on implementing investment policies, supporting investment in forest planting of the Central and local levels; assigning technical staff to regularly inspect, monitor, and promptly resolve problems arising during the implementation process. Along with that, localities urged people to take advantage of rainy days and moist soil to plant forests.
