On June 14, Mayor of Miami, the capital of Florida (USA), Mr. Francis Suarez submitted his registration documents to the federal election agency, thereby officially entering the race for the Republican nomination to run for US President in 2024.
Mr. Francis Suarez, born in 1977, is a Cuban-American and the only Latino candidate among the Republican candidates. Currently, among the numerous candidates of this party, there are some faces such as former President Donald Trump, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, former Vice President Mike Pence, Senator Tim Scott, former US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.

Recently, on June 7, Mr. Doug Burgum, Governor of North Dakota, 66 years old, also filed his candidacy with the US Federal Election Commission, thereby officially joining the race for the Republican nomination for the 2024 presidential election.
Despite the large number of Republican candidates, public opinion considers this a two-horse race between Mr. Trump and Mr. DeSantis.
