Arsenal have identified Eberechi Eze as their top target for the summer transfer window. However, Bayern Munich – who have suffered a major blow with Jamal Musiala suffering a broken leg and a dislocated ankle – are also interested in the England midfielder.
The Times reveals that Eze has been on the Bavarian club's shortlist as they look to strengthen their attack.

Eberechi Eze, 27, has enjoyed one of the best seasons of his career, scoring 14 goals and providing 11 assists, as well as scoring the winner in Crystal Palace's FA Cup final win. Eze also scored his first England goal in a 3-0 win over Latvia in March, further boosting his market value.
Arsenal have been keeping a close eye on Eze for some time and have made him their top target this summer, but have yet to make a formal offer. This delay could allow Bayern Munich to move in, especially after they failed to sign Florian Wirtz (who joined Liverpool) and lost two key attacking players, Leroy Sane and Thomas Muller.
Eze is understood to have a release clause of £68m, a figure within the reach of both Bayern and Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Eze's future at Crystal Palace also depends on the club's ability to qualify for next season's Europa League. Lyon's appeal against their relegation from Ligue 2 for breaching financial regulations will be heard by the courts. If Lyon's ban is upheld, Palace will have a great chance of qualifying for European competition. This could be the key factor in convincing Eze to stay at Selhurst Park for another season.
However, with the attraction of two giants Arsenal and Bayern Munich, Crystal Palace may face a difficult problem of retaining them in the coming weeks.
