Clip of a 2nd grade girl tearfully bringing her savings to support flood-affected areas:

This morning (September 14), the Management Board of Becamex Hoa Loi Social Housing Area (Hoa Phu Ward, Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong Province) said that the unit had just received necessities from a "special case" to support people in the North affected by storms and floods.

Accordingly, on the same morning, Phan Thien An (a 2nd grade student at Hoa Phu Primary School) came to see the Board of Directors, then took out a stack of small change hoping to support the people in the North who were suffering from storms and floods.

However, because the Board of Directors did not accept cash but only necessities, the child sadly walked away. When he reached the yard, An was in tears because he did not receive any support.

After hearing the explanation, An stopped by a grocery store in the apartment complex to buy two cartons of milk and then returned to the Management Board to have them shipped to the North.

Next, the girl asked her relatives to contact the Women's Union of Hoa Phu Ward to donate 350,000 VND. This amount was then transferred to the Women's Union of Binh Duong Province for compilation.

According to Thien An, over the past few days she has been watching news about storm number 3 on her phone and her mother has been telling her about the damage caused by the storm in the northern provinces.

Seeing the difficulties of the people in the North, the child used all his saved pocket money to support his friends in the flood-hit areas, hoping that they would overcome their difficulties and encouraging them to keep trying.

Along with the donation was a letter from the child that read: “This is my pocket money. I hope you can help me send it to my friends in the flood-hit areas. I hope they can overcome their difficulties and persevere.”

This image moved many witnesses and made them admire the heart of an elementary school girl with the spirit of "helping each other".

Talking to reporters, Ms. Hoang Thi Van Anh (Thien An's mother) said that in the past few days, she went on social media to see many pictures of storms and floods in the North. Thien An also watched and felt sorry for his friends in the flooded areas. After that, he told his mother that he would use all his savings to support them.

According to Ms. Van Anh, normally she would not dare to use her savings to buy anything expensive, but when she heard that many people were facing difficulties due to the flood, she proactively asked to donate all her money.

"My family is very supportive of my work, hoping that my small contributions can somehow help the people of the North overcome difficulties" - Ms. Van Anh shared.
