On the evening of November 30th, at the Provincial Theater, the People's Committee of Vinh Phuc province, in coordination with the Department of Performing Arts, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, organized the closing ceremony, summary, and awards presentation of the first phase of the 2024 National Song, Dance, and Music Festival.
Attending the event were Comrade Dinh Thi Mai, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Comrade Ta Quang Dong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Head of the Festival Steering Committee; Comrade Nguyen Tuan Khanh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Propaganda Department; Comrade Luong Duc Minh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Inspection Committee; Colonel Nguyen Van Xuan, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command; Comrade Nguyen Thanh Tung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Tam Duong District Party Committee; Comrade Pham Quang Nguyen, Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Comrade Nguyen Khac Hieu, Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Festival Steering Committee.

Congratulating the festival on its success, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong emphasized: The artists and performers have brought to art-loving audiences many emotions, diverse perspectives, and profound impressions. The programs, plays, songs, dances, and musical performances presented at the festival not only showcase the essence of Vietnamese and world performing arts but also contain many precious historical and cultural values of the nation.
Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong delivered a speech at the closing ceremony.
The comrade suggested that, in the coming time, the relevant agencies and units, as well as the art units, should continue to pay close attention to and invest carefully in human resources, materials, and training time for the competitions; and have special incentive policies to attract, nurture, and train talented young artists and actors to serve as the next generation of talent.
On behalf of the Art Council of the 1st National Song, Dance, and Music Festival 2024, People's Artist Nguyen Quang Vinh, Chairman of the Hanoi City Music Association and Chairman of the Art Council, assessed that this year's festival had many programs of high artistic quality. Some troupes boldly explored and created new performing arts and forms of expression, incorporating many musical genres into their programs. Many song, dance, and music programs were meticulously produced, with coherent scripts that closely followed the program's theme. The artists and performers performed well in each role, bringing valuable works to the audience. However, alongside these achievements, there were still programs built on existing foundations that had been used for many years, lacking innovation; and the directing work was not fully utilized.
The solo performance of the zither piece "Listening to the River Tell Its Story" by the Vinh Phuc Art Troupe excellently won the Silver Medal at the Festival.
At the event, the Organizing Committee announced and presented awards to outstanding programs, performances, acts, roles, and creative components of the festival. On this occasion, the Vietnam Dance Artists Association awarded Certificates of Merit to dance groups from various troupes and theaters, and the Vietnam Musicians Association commended individuals with outstanding achievements in the festival.
Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department Dinh Thi Mai and Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong presented awards to the units whose programs and performances won Gold Medals.
The Vinh Phuc Art Troupe won 2 Gold Medals with the dance performance "Hong Nhan" and the female solo performance "Quoc Mau Tay Thien". They also won 3 Silver Medals for the zither solo performance "Nghe Dong Song Ke"; the ensemble performance "Tay Thien Van Lo" and the dance "Hon Sen"; and 1 Silver Medal for the program and play "Vinh Phuc - My Homeland".
The collective of dancers from the Vinh Phuc Provincial Art Theatre received a Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam Dance Artists Association. Artist Bui Thanh Nha of the Vinh Phuc Art Troupe received the Outstanding Traditional Drum Performer Award from the Vietnam Musicians Association.
Nguyen Tuan Khanh, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, and Nguyen Xuan Bac, Director of the Performing Arts Department, presented outstanding awards to the creative teams and performances participating in the Festival.
The first phase of the 2024 National Song, Dance, and Music Festival took place at the Vinh Phuc Provincial Theater from November 21st to 30th, with the participation of nearly 1,000 artists, performers, and technicians from 13 song, dance, and music art troupes nationwide. Over nine days and nights of performances, the festival was a great success, leaving many positive emotions and lasting impressions on the audience as well as the artists and performers from the participating art troupes.
