Ethnic art troupes such as the Khmer Art Troupe of Soc Trang province and the Anh Binh Minh Khmer Art Troupe of Tra Vinh province also presented unique and diverse performances.
Each participating unit in the Festival will present a program or performance lasting 60-110 minutes in the following genres: mixed music and dance, Western art forms (symphony, musical theater, ballet, oratorio, Broadway, opera, etc.).
The programs, performances, and plays participating in the Festival have themes and content that praise the country and people of Vietnam; they reflect the cultural identity of various ethnic groups, regions, and areas, showcasing the richness and diversity of art.
The regular National Festival of Song, Dance, and Music serves as a basis for state management agencies from the central to local levels to accurately assess the current state of performing arts activities, thereby providing artistic direction, finding solutions to overcome limitations and weaknesses; and promoting the development of the performing arts sector to concretize the Party's policies and guidelines on culture and arts.
This event has practical significance, aiming to preserve, promote, and develop the unique traditional folk and ethnic performing arts of Vietnam; creating opportunities for professional art units, artists, and actors to meet, interact, exchange experiences, improve their professional skills, and discover young talents.

Through this, it strengthens relationships, linkages, and investment cooperation in many fields, especially enhancing the efficiency of production and business, contributing to the development of the local and regional cultural industry.
The 2024 National Music and Dance Festival (Phase 2) took place from September 29th and concluded with the awards ceremony on October 15th.
