The Department of Performing Arts (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) announced that the first phase of the National Music and Dance Festival – 2024 will take place in Vinh Phuc province from September 7 to 16, with the participation of nearly 1,000 artists from 13 units nationwide.
These include professional performing arts units, both public and private; performing arts units belonging to the armed forces; and symphony, music, and dance units, both public and private, nationwide.
Each participating group will present a program or performance lasting from 60 to 110 minutes, featuring a combination of musical and dance forms or Western art forms: symphony, opera, oratorio, Broadway (contemporary opera), opera, vocal music (songs, suites, epics, choral works), instrumental music (genres for symphony orchestras, traditional orchestras, electronic orchestras, or combinations of different instrument groups), dance drama (ballet drama), dance poetry, dance suites, and short dance pieces.
The organizers encourage programs, performances, and plays participating in the festival to showcase the cultural identity of various ethnic groups, regions, and areas, reflecting the richness and diversity of art.
The second phase of the National Music and Dance Festival – 2024 is scheduled for the end of September 2024 at the Binh Duong Provincial Convention Center.
