(CLO) The first phase of the 2024 National Music and Dance Festival will officially take place from November 21st to 30th at the Vinh Phuc Provincial Theater, Vinh Yen City. The event will bring together nearly 1,000 artists from 13 art units nationwide, promising a vibrant and diverse artistic experience.
According to the Department of Performing Arts (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), the festival is an opportunity for professional performing arts groups – both public and private, including symphony, opera, and ballet troupes from across the country – to showcase their best works.
The first phase of the National Music and Dance Festival - 2024 will take place from November 21st to 30th at the Vinh Phuc Provincial Theater, Vinh Yen City.
Each participating group will present a program lasting between 60 and 110 minutes, spanning various genres from mixed music and dance, symphony, opera to Broadway.
The entries must meet strict requirements: from themes praising the homeland and country to technical standards for live performance.
In particular, the competition entries should showcase the richness and diversity of art, bearing the strong imprint of national culture or a harmonious combination with modern Western art forms.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will award Gold and Silver Medals to outstanding programs, performances, and roles, along with many special awards to honor creative individuals and groups.
This is an opportunity to discover and celebrate artistic talents, while encouraging creativity, innovation, and diversification of performance styles.
Previously, the festival was scheduled to take place from September 7-16, 2024, but had to be postponed due to the impact of Typhoon No. 3. Nevertheless, the event still maintains its goal of becoming a "major platform" for artists to freely create, develop their talents, and spread artistic values.
The National Music and Dance Festival - 2024 is one of the major cultural events, contributing to the preservation and promotion of traditional art values, while also bringing Vietnamese art into deeper integration with the world.
