After 15 days of exciting competition in Thu Dau Mot city, Binh Duong province, the 2024 National Music and Dance Festival (Phase 2) officially concluded on the evening of October 15th.
Taking place from September 29th, the 2024 National Music and Dance Festival (Phase 2) attracted the participation of nearly 1,500 artists, singers, actors, and musicians from 24 art units across the country.

In his professional assessment, People's Artist Nguyen Quang Vinh, Chairman of the Art Council, said that the festival featured programs that strongly reflected the local identity through extremely simple and unpretentious performances, even preserving the original form and traditional melodies that have existed since ancient times...
Some programs are meticulously crafted, with a coherent script that closely adheres to the program's theme, a tight structure encompassing various genres, and creative elements that skillfully combine artistic decoration, props, visuals, and technology. They explore and develop a blend of traditional and modern art, integrating cultural and religious practices with contemporary theatrical performances, creating opportunities for artists to excel and shine in each role.
However, despite efforts to create products with distinct variations, it is difficult to avoid duplication when using similar techniques in art installations, arrangements, or exploiting similar musical technology platforms for many art groups with very different identities…
At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded Gold Medals to three units: the People's Police Music and Dance Theatre for the work "Orders from the Heart," the Ha Giang Provincial Art Troupe for "Ha Giang - The Land of Calling Rocks," and the Binh Duong Provincial Cultural Center for the work "The Call of the Source." These works were highly appreciated for both their content and artistic quality, showcasing the creativity and dedication of the artists.

Six other units won Silver Medals, including the Trung Vuong Theatre of Da Nang with the work "The River Tells Stories"; the Sao Bien Folk Music and Dance Theatre of Phu Yen province with "The Far East Wind"; the Ninh Thuan Provincial Ethnic Music and Dance Troupe with "Aspiration Shines Brightly"; the Quang Tri Provincial Traditional Arts Troupe with "Rising Up with the Sun and Wind"; the Hai Dang Music and Dance Troupe of Khanh Hoa province with "Aspiration of the Land of Agarwood"; and the Khmer Arts Troupe of Soc Trang province with "Soc Trang Resounds with Festivals".
The organizing committee also awarded 66 silver medals and 32 gold medals to the performances; and 5 outstanding awards for creative components, including: Outstanding Creativity; Outstanding Art Direction; Outstanding Director; Outstanding Choreographer; Outstanding Musician and Outstanding Stage Designer.
