On September 26th, the Department of Performing Arts ( Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism ) announced that the second phase of the 2024 National Music and Dance Festival will take place from September 28th to October 15th.
The opening ceremony of the festival took place on the evening of September 29th; the closing ceremony, summary, and awards presentation will be held on the evening of October 15th at the Binh Duong Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center.

The National Music and Dance Festival - 2024 is organized by the Department of Performing Arts, in coordination with the Vietnam Musicians Association, the Vietnam Dancers Association, and the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism of provinces/cities.
Previously, according to the plan, the National Music and Dance Festival - 2024 was to be held in two phases: Phase 1 was to be held in Vinh Phuc province, but was postponed due to typhoon No. 3; Phase 2 was to be held from September 29 to October 15 in Binh Duong province.
According to the Department of Performing Arts, the second phase of the 2024 National Music and Dance Festival will feature nearly 1,500 artists from 24 organizations nationwide.
This includes professional performing arts units, both public and private; performing arts units belonging to the armed forces; and symphony, music, and dance units, both public and private, nationwide.
Each participating group will present one program or performance lasting 60-110 minutes, in the following genres: mixed music and dance, and Western art forms (symphony, musical theater, ballet, oratorio, Broadway, opera, etc.).
The programs, performances, and plays participating in the festival have themes and content that praise the country and people of Vietnam. Many programs and works reflect the cultural identity of various ethnic groups and regions, showcasing the richness and diversity of art.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism awards gold and silver medals to programs and performances associated with the creative components of the programs and performances, and gold and silver medals to performances and roles associated with groups of artists or individual artists performing.
In addition, at the suggestion of the Arts Council, the Organizing Committee will award outstanding prizes to artistic directors, program directors, play directors, orchestra conductors, composers, choreographers, painters, costume designers, principal singers, principal dancers, principal musicians, etc.
