(Fatherland) - On the evening of November 30, the Department of Performing Arts (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) in coordination with the People's Committee of Vinh Phuc province organized the closing ceremony, summary and award ceremony of the first National Song, Dance and Music Festival in 2024.
Attending the closing ceremony were Ms. Dinh Thi Mai, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Mr. Ta Quang Dong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Head of the Festival Steering Committee; Mr. Nguyen Khac Hieu, Vice Chairman of Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh, Head of Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, and representatives of leaders of agencies and units of Vinh Phuc province.

The first National Music, Dance and Dance Festival in 2024 took place at Vinh Phuc Provincial Theater from November 21 to 30 with the participation of nearly 1,000 artists, actors and technicians from 13 music, dance and dance art units across the country. After 9 days and nights of performances, the festival was a great success.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong emphasized: The artists and actors brought to the art-loving audience many emotions, colorful perspectives and deep impressions. The programs, plays, singing, dancing and music performances brought to the festival not only represent the quintessence of Vietnamese and international performing arts but also contain many precious historical and cultural values of the nation.

The Deputy Minister suggested that in the coming time, the agencies, functional units in charge as well as art units continue to pay attention and invest carefully in human resources, materials and training time for the competitions; have special preferential policies to attract, nurture and train talented young artists and actors to be the next generation.

Speaking at the evaluation and summary of the expertise and art of the competitions at the festival, People's Artist Nguyen Quang Vinh, Chairman of the Hanoi Music Association, Chairman of the Art Council said: "This year's festival has many programs of high artistic quality, with groups boldly exploring and creating performing arts and forms of expression, including many musical genres such as musical drama, ballet, opera, classical ballet of the world...; exploiting revolutionary themes, critical realism themes in the Vietnamese literary treasure; many singing, dancing and music programs have been invested in and elaborately developed, with consistent scripts, closely following the theme of the program; creating works with many youthful elements of the times; the layout of the programs is tightly built with many genres, valuing and enhancing attractive elements and entertainment.

Artists and actors perform well in each role, bringing valuable works to viewers. However, there are still programs built on existing platforms that have been used for many years, without innovation in stages as well as creativity and breakthroughs to create highlights in the program; the director's work has not been properly promoted.
The Organizing Committee announced and awarded outstanding programs, plays, performances, roles and creative elements at the Festival.

Vice Chairman of Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Khac Hieu presented the award to the play that won the Silver Medal at the festival.
Accordingly, the Program Awards have 2 Excellence Awards (opera ballet Carmen of Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Theatre; musical Chi Pheo's Dream of Thang Long Music and Dance Theatre); 02 Gold Medals (The Road from the Heart - Army Music and Dance Theatre; Bird's Nest on the Mountainside - Son La Music and Dance Theatre); 03 Silver Medals were awarded to the programs of Vinh Phuc Provincial Art Troupe (Vinh Phuc - My Homeland); Lao Cai Provincial Ethnic Art Troupe (Lao Cai - The Source Flows Forever); Hai Phong Music and Dance Troupe (Bi Vo - Also a Human Life).

Director of the Department of Performing Arts Nguyen Xuan Bac; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Nguyen Tuan Khanh presented awards for outstanding performances and creative elements participating in the festival.
Performance and actor awards include 24 Gold Medals, 42 Silver Medals; 07 Outstanding Awards for creative elements (1 art director, 1 general director, 1 musician, 1 conductor of the ballet orchestra, 1 art designer, 1 scriptwriter, 1 main singer).
On this occasion, the Vietnam Dance Artists Association awarded Certificates of Merit to dance artists of troupes and theaters, and the Vietnam Musicians Association rewarded individuals with good achievements in the festival./.
