While playing with friends, a 13-year-old boy was stabbed in the skull and had to be hospitalized for emergency care.
On January 15, Kon Tum General Hospital said it had saved the life of a baby whose skull had been punctured by a knife.
Previously, on January 6, A.Ph (13 years old, residing in Dak Mon commune, Dak Glei district, Kon Tum) was taken to Kon Tum General Hospital in a state of having a knife blade piercing his skull.
According to information from family members, on the morning of the same day, A.Ph was playing with friends and accidentally got a knife blade stuck deep into the top of his head.
The boy was stabbed in the skull while playing with his friends.

Immediately after admission, the patient was quickly treated by doctors, consulted and performed emergency surgery to remove the foreign object and blood clot in the skull. After more than 1 hour of surgery, the doctors removed the foreign object, a knife blade, about 5 cm deep in the skull, and 30 ml of blood clot in the patient's brain tissue.
According to Dr. Nguyen Thanh Lam (Kon Tum General Hospital), the patient was admitted to the hospital in a serious condition, the foreign object caused deep damage in the skull. Doctors performed the removal of the foreign object, stopped the bleeding of the cerebral veins, removed the brain contusion, and removed the blood clot in the patient's brain parenchyma.
After surgery, the patient's condition was stable, alert, breathing on his own, no shock, no paralysis.
The patient continues to be treated at the Department of Trauma Surgery of Kon Tum Provincial General Hospital.
