Defendant Nguyen Phuong Hang stated the reason for insulting singer Vy Oanh.

On April 6, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department completed the investigation and transferred the case file to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Procuracy to propose prosecuting Nguyen Phuong Hang (52 years old, General Director of Dai Nam Joint Stock Company) and 4 accomplices for the crime of abusing democratic freedoms to infringe upon the interests of the State and the legitimate rights and interests of organizations and individuals under Article 331 of the Penal Code.

According to the investigation conclusion, regarding the reason for insulting singer Vy Oanh, Nguyen Phuong Hang said that the female singer posted an article on Vy Oanh's personal Facebook page, the content of this article was not related to the defendant.

However, Nguyen Phuong Hang said that in the comment section, Vy Oanh mocked and criticized her for donating land to charity to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is the reason why Nguyen Phuong Hang conducted livestreams on May 16, 2021, May 25, 2021, June 30, 2021, July 5, 2021, October 3, 2021, October 9, 2021, November 3, 2021, November 7, 2021, November 8, 2021 with content insulting Vy Oanh.

According to the investigation conclusion, Nguyen Phuong Hang made offensive statements to singer Vy Oanh: " I think you would be equally humiliated, putting your face in the toilet...".

Previously, on March 24, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department summoned singer Vy Oanh to work regarding the petition of Mr. Nguyen Quang Tuan (son of defendant Nguyen Phuong Hang), denouncing her for abusing democratic freedoms to infringe upon the rights and legitimate interests of defendant Nguyen Phuong Hang.

On the morning of March 24, singer Vy Oanh had to appear at the Criminal Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police to work according to the first summons.

Responding to the above information, singer Vy Oanh said she had sent a document to Ho Chi Minh City Police to provide some additional information.

Singer Vy Oanh said she is a victim in the case involving defendant Nguyen Phuong Hang, which is being investigated by the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department's Investigation Police Department.

A year ago, singer Vy Oanh sent a petition to the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department accusing Nguyen Phuong Hang of using social media to post false information, slander, and insult the honor of many individuals, domestic artists, and singer Vy Oanh.

After receiving the petition from Vy Oanh and other individuals, Ho Chi Minh City Police began an investigation. In March 2022, the investigation agency prosecuted Nguyen Phuong Hang for abusing democratic freedoms to infringe upon the interests of the State and the legitimate rights and interests of organizations and individuals.
