(CT) - According to Can Tho City Police, the Department of Political Work - Ministry of Public Security has just organized a meeting ceremony to honor children of officers and soldiers who have won national and international awards; children of wounded soldiers and martyrs of the Police; godchildren and adopted children of the Police who have achieved high academic achievements in the 2024-2025 school year.

Can Tho City Police has 3 children who are sponsored by the "Godmother" program, with good academic achievements, and are participating in the program. They are: Nguyen Huy Hoang (born in 2012, fatherless due to COVID-19, residing in Binh Thuy ward), 7th grade student of An Khanh Secondary School, with excellent student achievements (sponsored unit: Women's Union, Department PA01, Can Tho City Police before the merger); Huynh Ky Nam (born in 2010, fatherless, residing in Vi Tan ward), 9th grade student of Chau Van Liem Secondary School, with excellent student achievements (sponsored unit: Women's Committee of Hau Giang Provincial Police before the merger); Duong Thi Nhu Y (born in 2013, motherless, residing in Khanh Hoa ward), 6th grade student of Khanh Hoa Secondary School, with good student achievements (sponsored unit: Women's Committee of Soc Trang Provincial Police before the merger).

According to Can Tho City Police, the commendation and meeting ceremony is part of the program "Summer Camp of Love", aiming to encourage children to overcome adversity and become useful citizens for their families and society.
