According to The Wall Street Journal , members of the Tesla electric car company's board of directors have been speaking out informally about Musk's drug use for years and have even approached his brother, Kimbal Musk, to express concerns about his behavior. Elon Musk is currently the CEO of Tesla and the founder of SpaceX.
Musk has also been accused of using drugs with executives at his companies, and sources say he used ketamine recreationally with his brother Kimbal, who is also a board member of Tesla and SpaceX, as well as using drugs with SpaceX board member Steve Jurvetso, according to The Wall Street Journal .
Billionaire Elon Musk
Meanwhile, billionaire Musk on January 7 denied drug use, claiming that "not even traces" of drugs or alcohol were found in his body after three years of random drug tests, according to Forbes magazine.
Musk was seen smoking marijuana on video during a taping of his podcast "The Joe Rogan Experience" in 2018, a move that landed him in trouble with NASA, which required SpaceX to be a marijuana-free workplace to maintain its status as the only government contractor approved to transport astronauts to the International Space Station.
Musk has since downplayed his appearance on Rogan's show, claiming he only smoked "one puff" of marijuana on the podcast and telling biographer Walter Isaacson: "I really don't like doing drugs," according to Forbes .
