In the spirit of promoting cooperation and innovation, on the afternoon of September 9, 2025, Vietnam National Shipping Lines ( VIMC ) coordinated with Schneider Electric to organize the workshop "Cooperation and Innovation for Green Ports", focusing on major orientations to help Vietnam's seaport system improve its competitiveness: electrification of infrastructure - equipment, digital transformation of operations and effective energy management. The workshop aims to reduce emissions, increase operational efficiency, meet the requirements of sustainable development and international standards in the maritime sector.
The workshop was attended by VIMC General Director Le Anh Son, Deputy General Director Nguyen Ngoc Anh, leaders of professional departments and representatives of member units. On Schneider Electric's side, the workshop brought together a group of global experts from 5 countries, with experience in the fields of energy management and port digitalization, sharing advanced solutions and suggesting technical roadmaps suitable for Vietnam's conditions.
Speaking at the event, VIMC General Director Le Anh Son emphasized: “We have identified digital transformation and green transformation as a key task, a driving force for future growth of the entire Corporation. We consider it a competitive weapon in the future.”
Mr. Dong Mai Lam, General Director of Schneider Electric Vietnam and Cambodia said: “We are a world leader in digital transformation, energy management, and automation.
