The 1st Congress of Ho Chi Minh City Logistics and Seaport Association, term 2025-2030
On October 31, the 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Logistics and Seaport Association, term 2025-2030, took place successfully.
During the 2025-2030 term, the Association determines the development direction according to the principles of regional integration - professionalization - sustainability . Member enterprises agree on the goal of improving logistics services and developing the Ho Chi Minh City seaport system in a synchronous, modern and regionally integrated direction, aiming to make the City's logistics service industry become the leading logistics center in Southeast Asia .

Previously, Ho Chi Minh City seaport and Ba Ria - Vung Tau port operated separately, both in the top 50 largest ports in the world . When merged, the new port cluster is expected to be able to rise to the global group of 30 - 35 .
Speaking at the congress, Mr. Tran Thanh Hai - Deputy Director of the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) - assessed that the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh City Logistics and Seaport Association is an opportunity for the City to take the lead in implementing the National Logistics Strategy , affirming its role as the economic locomotive center of the country .
The 21-member Executive Committee of the Association was introduced to the congress. According to the approved personnel structure, Ms. Dang Thi Minh Phuong - General Director of MP Logistics Joint Stock Company - was elected as HLA Chairwoman.
