Agribank accompanies the 5th National Press Awards Ceremony on anti-corruption, waste and negativity, 2024 - 2025

On the evening of October 30, 2025, at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace - Hanoi, the 5th National Press Award Ceremony for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness and Negativity, 2024 - 2025, took place solemnly with the participation of leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front; representatives of leaders of Central and Hanoi Departments, Ministries and Branches; representatives of leaders of Central and local press agencies. The Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) was honored to accompany the Press Award - one of the national programs, especially in the field of anti-corruption, wastefulness and negativity.

Continuing to promote the success of the National Press Award for preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity held 4 times, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front coordinated with the Vietnam Journalists Association and Vietnam Television to launch and organize the 5th National Press Award Ceremony for preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity, 2024 - 2025. This is one of the meaningful events to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2025).

After 02 years of implementation, as of July 31, 2025, the Organizing Committee of the Award has received 1,110 press works submitted in 04 categories: print, electronic, radio, television from 90 press agencies at the central and local levels. With the spirit of democracy, objectivity, impartiality, and high responsibility, the members of the Final Jury reviewed and unanimously selected 44 best works to award 04 A prizes; 10 B prizes; 12 C prizes; 18 Encouragement prizes.

The works submitted to the 5th Award were evaluated to have content that closely followed the theme and criteria of the Award Rules. In particular, the press works focused on timely and comprehensively reflecting the Party and State's fight against corruption, waste and negativity with the motto of perseverance, continuity, no forbidden areas, no exceptions. In addition to the works reflecting the work of preventing and fighting corruption and negativity, reporters, journalists and press agencies have expanded the content and topics of reflecting on preventing and fighting waste under the direction of General Secretary To Lam, Head of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and fighting corruption, waste and negativity. Many works are of good quality, timely, highly discoverable, demonstrating the dedication of journalists, their determination, courage and endurance of pressure, the danger that follows the corruption, waste and negativity cases to the end. From there, create journalistic works that have a ripple effect and great social impact, bringing about effectiveness and positive changes in the fight against corruption, waste, and negativity.

The works participating in this year's Award were invested by authors and groups of authors in terms of journalism technology, presentation form, rich and vivid topics in the style and trends of modern journalism, quite comprehensively reflecting the determination of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front, the involvement of functional agencies, the response and active participation of all classes of people in the fight against corruption, negativity and waste from the Central to the localities. Typical is the work: "Fighting against land waste - Streamlining the apparatus: "The urgent revolution for the country to rise up", published on the VietnamPlus e-newspaper, Vietnam News Agency, presented in a special Mega Story style.

The works submitted to the Award are the crystallization of the hard work of journalists, overcoming all difficulties, pressures, and even dangers during the working process to have journalistic works with high fighting spirit and profound humanity. The new point of this Award is that there are more works written on the topic of preventing and combating negativity that are highly appreciated by the Steering Committee and the Organizing Committee of the Award; at the same time, there are also more works on the topic of praising and encouraging brave examples in the fight against corruption and negativity, which have a widespread impact in society.

Organizing the 5th National Press Awards Ceremony for preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity in 2024 - 2025 is a practical activity to honor outstanding press works on the topic of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity. From there, encourage and motivate journalists nationwide, continue to promote the role of the press in detecting, fighting and condemning acts of corruption, waste and negativity.
