Terminating Vlahovic's contract will cost Juventus more money. |
According to Sky Italy , the "Old Lady" is considering terminating the contract early with the Serbian striker, who is currently the highest paid player in Serie A with 12 million euros (after tax) per season.
Vlahovic's poor form, plummeting market value and lack of interest from big clubs have made him a financial burden for Juventus. The former Fiorentina striker's contract with Juventus runs until the summer of 2026, but the Italian club are looking to cut ties earlier.
According to The Athletic , almost no big club in Europe wants to own Vlahovic, because of his poor performance and sky-high salary demands. Only a few teams in Saudi Arabia have expressed interest in recruiting Vlahovic, but the striker born in 2000 wants to continue playing in Europe as the 2026 World Cup is approaching.
Faced with the deadlock, Juventus' new sporting director, Damien Comolli, has proposed terminating Vlahovic's contract.
